Where are the Marshall Islands? |
| The Marshall Islands are 7 degrees
north of the equator and 10 degrees west of the
International Date Line. |

What is included in the charter? |
| Accommodations aboard the vessel,
diving, compressed air tanks, weights and weight belts,
meals, snacks and refreshments. |
| |
The Oleanda is fully equipped with air and
Nitrox. |
| |
|
|
What is not included in the charter? |
| Alcoholic beverages or sodas (we have a cash
bar), crew gratuities, Nitrox, equipment hire, departure
tax, dive permits, personal insurance (highly
recommended), flights unless pre arranged with us. |

|
How many dives a day can I make? |
| 3-4 dives a day is normal |
| |
|
|
Do I need a passport? |
| Visitors must have a current passport
valid for more than six months, adequate funds to
support themselves and a return ticket. |

|
What is the water temperature? Will I need a wet suit? |
| You will be diving in waters that
average 28C/82F. The water is warm, but with 3-4 dives a
day we suggest either a 3mm shortie or a dive skin.
Please bring this with you, as we do not have any for
hire. |

Should I be an advanced diver? |
| Not necessarily, but you should be a
comfortable diver. The diving can be deep at times with
some exciting drift dives to take advantage of the
strong currents. |

Is it customary to offer a crew gratuity? |
| As in any service-oriented business,
gratuities are customary and voluntary. From past
experience, many guests have offered gratuities based on
the total cost of the charter. The Captain will have an
envelope available when settling the tabs for on-board
services or purchases. Gratuities may be by cash, credit
cards or traveler's cheques. All gratuities are shared
amongst the crew. |

Where is the nearest recompression chamber? |
| Kwajalein, Hawaii and Guam. Full diving
insurance is highly recommended. |

Do we dive from a skiff? |
| Yes, most of our dives are from skiffs. |
| |
|

Is there a TV/Video/DVD on board? |
|
|
|
What equipment do I need to bring? |
| Full diving equipment, BCD, regulators
with alternate air source, mask, fins, snorkel, exposure
suit and a computer if diving with Nitrox. Recommended,
safety sausage & whistle. Equipment is available for
hire except exposure suits. |

What is the power set up on board? |
| We have 220 and 110 available on board.
You will need to bring adapters for any electrical plugs
such as chargers, laptops, etc. |

What type of communications are onboard? |
| Limited communications are available.
We have an HF radio and a satellite phone for emergency
use only. |
| |
|
|
How do I get to the Marshall Islands? |
| Internal flights can be arranged by us
on request. Continental has flights from Honolulu and
Guam. |

Do you accept credit cards? |
| Yes, we take Visa and MasterCard, cash
and travelers cheques. Sorry, no personal checks. |
| |
|
|
When is the best time of the year to visit? |
| We can dive all year in the Marshall
Islands. However, we have trade winds from December to
April. |
